Student-Athlete Developmental Basketball Camp (S.A.D.B.C.)

The S.A.D.B.C is comprised of three key components; academic advisement, instructional basketball lessons and character and leadership development.

Academic advisement provides academic support in all subject areas. We monitor participants grades and conduct on a weekly basis. Progress reports are mandatory and must be completed by teachers and signed by a parent or guardian to be turned in each week.

Instructional basketball lessons teach the basic fundamentals of basketball. All participants learn the proper techniques on how to dribble, pass, shoot, rebound, and play defense. Each student-athlete is evaluated by the coaching staff each week in order to monitor their progress. Participants may be grouped by age or skill level. At the conclusion of each session, participants will receive a written assessment (report card) of their development.

Camp Objective
Our objective is to give each student-athlete special attention with one-on-one tutoring, mentoring, instructional basketball lessons, and life skills lessons.
Camp Philosophy
Each student-athlete will understand the importance of being a student in the classroom first and a student of the game second.
Camp Staff
Our staff consist mostly of volunteers (Parents, HS Students, HS and College Coaches and Players, and Educators). All staff/volunteers are CPR/First Aid certified and subject to CORI/SORI background checks.

DAY Camps & BOOT CAMPs

Players learn the fundamentals of the game, they also learn to communicate with other teammates and coaches while learning sportsmanship and responsibility. The fundamentals we stress are shooting mechanics, proper footwork, ball handling, passing skills, offensive moves, moving without the ball, and defensive principles.

Clinics are held at various facilities throughout Greater Boston at various times during the year (usually during school vacation weeks). Clinics typically are held on Saturday and Sunday while Day Camps run for a week. We may offer a few two and three-day clinics throughout the year.

All instructors are excellent at communicating and teaching the game of basketball to kids and have played basketball at an advanced level. The instructors will help any player advance skills while having fun.
