Congratulations to the “MABC Bengals” Coaching Staff and Teams on a successful 2008 Program Year!
Thank you to all the parents, coaches, sponsors and individuals who supported the fundraising efforts to send four qualifying teams to the Nationals this year in Cocoa Beach, Orlando, and Kentucky. We are proud of the amazing accomplishments that all our teams had this year and are excited to announce the 2008 results for both the State and National AAU Championships:
*State Championship Results
5th & 6th grade team won the Gold Medal
4th & 7th grade team won the Silver Medal
*National Championship Results
5th grade team placed 5th in the nation at the finals in Cocoa Beach, FL
(Automatic Bid for the 2009 National Championship)
6th grade team placed 4th in the nation at the finals in Lexington, KY
(Automatic Bid for the 2009 National Championship)
Both the 4th and 8th grade teams did exceptionally well for their first year of competition at the 2008 AAU National Championship in Florida.
MABC has won four consecutive AAU Massachusetts State Championships & New England Super Regional Championships
(2005, 2006, 2007, 2008).

Name: Jaleel Bell
Age: 14
Team: 14U/8th Grade
Accomplishments:
Jaleel joined MABC four years ago when he was in the 5th grade. Since 2006, his team placed in the top 2 in both the AAU States and New England Super Regionals. This year, they won the 2009 Super Regional Championship. Jaleel has matured tremendously as a player but more importantly he has become a model student-athlete for MABC both on and off the court. He participates in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Academy Program. He has perfect attendance and is currently an honor roll student at Wayland Middle School.
While maintaining honor roll status each semester, he led his 8th grade middle school basketball team to a undefeated 12-0 season while also leading Wayland to a 2009 Metro West Championship.
Like many of our student-athletes, Jaleel is a multi-sport athlete who enjoys football as well. Jaleel played for the Boston Raiders PopWarner Club from 2005-2008. His team won the 2008 Midget League, Conference, and State Championships. Jaleel will attend Wayland High School this fall and we expect to see great things from him.
On-line registration is available for the S.A.D.B.C Winter Camp Session. Register early as space is limited. For more information visit Our Programs.
